We are now in June and nine members of Datchet Parish Council are apparently seeking legal advice in support of their claim to be the ‘sole managing trustee’ of the Datchet Recreational Centre Charity Trust (DRCCT).\u00a0 \u00a0Their objective is to take control of the DRCCT and its substantial charity assets.\u00a0 \u00a0Guess who will pay for this advice?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In fact the majority of these nine individuals have been on the Council for less than two years – and have been co-opted rather than elected.\u00a0 Consequently Datchet Parish Council no longer meets the legal requirements for ‘General Competence.’<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In April 2025 the DRCCT address and contact details were changed on the Charity Commission website.\u00a0 How did this happen?<\/p>\n
