alongside a promise to offer improved protection &#8211; the 350m embankment construction suffered severe damage in 2003.\u00a0 \u00a0The embankment was consequently dismantled and rebuilt <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/flooding.london\/jrp\/Jubilee%20River%20story%20-%200120.htm\">(at a cost of \u00a31.3m)<\/a><\/strong><\/span> as a matter of urgency in 2004.\u00a0 Since then the embankment has degraded steadily over time.\u00a0 The images below record the state of the embankment now (August 2025) &#8211;
