{"id":2362,"date":"2025-08-21T14:22:53","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T13:22:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhwnews.com\/?p=2362"},"modified":"2025-08-21T14:24:06","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T13:24:06","slug":"more-footbridge-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhwnews.com\/?p=2362","title":{"rendered":"More footbridge issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Below is an extract from my email to EA dated 21-8-2025<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Thank you for your email and it was a surprise and pleasure to receive a response from you personally.\u00a0 I sent my original email to _______ simply because I am concerned that (in the most general of terms) the EA does not appear to learn and do better as time goes on.\u00a0 To be precise my concern is <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">not with the individuals but more about EA corporate cultural and policy shortcomings and the lack of accountability.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">I will mention that I am now looking yet again at the partially repaired Berry Hill footbridge (No 2 over the Jubilee River).\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>In particular I have noted that concrete walls inhibit or prevent inspection\/maintenance of the structure.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 I will be raising this and other concerns at the next Parish Council Meeting.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">I must also mention that <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">I am extremely unhappy that local Authorities are now having to bear the costs of maintenance, repair or replacement of bridges that were not there prior to the construction of the Jubilee River.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Please feel free to contact me.<\/div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Below is an extract from my email to EA dated 21-8-2025 Thank you for your email and it was a surprise and pleasure to receive a response from you personally.\u00a0 I sent&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[38,218,66,195,196],"class_list":["post-2362","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-berry-hill-footbridge","tag-ea-culture-and-policy","tag-jubilee-river","tag-timber-footbridge-inspection","tag-timber-footbridge-maintenance"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
