For anybody who does not know what is going on with the River Thames Scheme funding – a simple web search will reveal the following (misleading?) information:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

River Thames Scheme funding announced as part of Surrey Flood Alleviation Programme<\/strong>
\nSurrey County Council\u2019s cabinet is set to agree \u00a3270 million of funding for long term flood risk management work across Surrey to protect homes and roads.<\/p>\n

That includes a contribution to the River Thames Scheme, which will reduce flood risk to 15,000 properties and tens of thousands of people living and working near the Thames.<\/p>\n

Costing \u00a3640 million, the scheme represents the largest investment in flood risk in the UK to date. \u00a3404 million has already been committed including \u00a3308 million government investment and \u00a395 million of further partnership funding. The Environment Agency and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have also agreed contributions towards the scheme.<\/p>\n

So what’s wrong with this RTS web page? How about NO PUBLICATION DATE! I think this goes back to 2019 and is blatant misinformation.\u00a0 Things have changed a lot over the years. Note the Copyright Date 2005.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
