The Datchet Parish Council Clerk continues to publish misinformation on the DPC website<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 On the DRCCT page<\/a><\/strong><\/span> – the DPC text states as follows:-<\/p>\n

Statement from Datchet Parish Council regarding the unofficial DRCCT website<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please be advised that the website\u00a0www.drcct.org<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is not an official site of the Datchet Recreation Centre Charitable Trust (DRCCT).<\/p>\n

The above sentence and much of the web page is untrue and I (yet again) invite the DPC Clerk to remove the entire page.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 After seven months, I remain concerned that some relatively new Datchet Parish Councillors (and the Clerk) continue to dispute the proper governance of the Datchet Recreation Centre Charity Trust (DRCCT) and its assets.\u00a0 These are the DPC members that voted for this action \u2013 Chairman David Buckley, Lead for Properties \u2013 Darren Sanders, Lead for Cemetery \u2013 Caroline Wise, Lead for Events \u2013 Andrew Clemins, Cllr Glover, Cllr Young, Cllr Bacon, Cllr Loveridge and Cllr Whelan.\u00a0 The original and complete DPC statement may be viewed here – DPC & DRRCT Statement 15.04.25 v3<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You will note that the<\/strong><\/span> ‘PUBLIC STATEMENT – RELEASED BY INTERIM DRCCT COMMITTEE AND DATCHET PARISH COUNCIL<\/em> and DATE 15.04.25\u00a0<\/em>have all been removed<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The simple fact is that DPC assets are managed by the DPC – and DRCCT assets are managed by DRCCT trustees.
\nIt appears the current Parish Council Chairman and Clerk) have been unwilling to even debate the issues let alone resolve this matter.\u00a0 \u00a0We need to establish a framework for constructive cooperation that maintains our respective independence while meeting our separate legal obligations – and I think that this must be done in public.<\/p>\n

The current DRCCT Trustee appointments were properly agreed in 2019, and until recently, our working relationship was guided by the ‘Division of Responsibilities’ document.<\/p>\n

Please be assured that www.drcct.org<\/a><\/strong><\/span> is the correct link to the DRCCT approved web page.\u00a0 We (the properly appointed DRCCT trustees as shown on the Charity Commission website<\/a><\/strong><\/span>) have nothing to hide.\u00a0 I was first elected to Datchet Parish Council in 1986.\u00a0 I am currently working on a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ for consideration by the parties – in anticipation of permanently resolving long-standing issues.<\/p>\n
