{"id":3593,"date":"2026-03-07T11:10:33","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T11:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhwnews.com\/?p=3593"},"modified":"2026-03-08T09:40:42","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T09:40:42","slug":"dpc-clerk-continues-to-publish-disinformation-about-the-drcct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhwnews.com\/?p=3593","title":{"rendered":"DPC Clerk continues to publish disinformation about the DRCCT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Clerk to Datchet Parish Council continues to use the DPC web site to publish <strong>disinformation<\/strong> about the Trustees of the Datchet Recreation Ground Charity Trust, the Trust and the Charity Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.datchetparishcouncil.gov.uk\/_VirDir\/CoreContents\/News\/Display.aspx?id=75775\">DPC web page dated 12 May 2025<\/a><\/strong><\/span> incorrectly states:\u00a0 <em>The DPC is the sole legal and managing trustee of the DRCCT, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>as listed by the Charity Commission<\/strong><\/span>, and is legally responsible for the charity\u2019s management and assets.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If this statement was correct &#8211; then the DPC Clerk would surely look after DRCCT receipts and payments, DRCCT bank accounts, financial records and employee contracts, records and payments, and submit the DRCCT Annual Report and Accounts to the Charity Commission.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The DPC Clerk does not look after DRCCT receipts and payments, DRCCT bank accounts, financial records and employee contracts, records and payments.\u00a0 The DPC Clerk does not submit the DRCCT Annual Report and Accounts to the Charity Commission.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The Datchet Parish Council Clerk has been repeatedly informed that the DPC web page is incorrect.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Charity Commission web page identifying the Trustees of Charity Number 252303 may be found <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk\/en\/charity-search\/-\/charity-details\/252303\/trustees?_uk_gov_ccew_onereg_charitydetails_web_portlet_CharityDetailsPortlet_organisationNumber=252303\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/span> &#8211; and the page clearly shows Ewan Larcombe and Monica Davies as Trustees of the DRCCT.<\/p>\n<p>You will find the DRCCT explanatory <span style=\"color: #000000;\">web page<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> on &#8216;Understanding Charitable Trusts&#8217;<\/span><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/drcct.org\/\"> here<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The DRCCT Trustees made clear from the beginning:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the benefit of the Datchet community, it is essential that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All parties act in accordance with charity law and the DRCCT trust deed<\/li>\n<li>Transparency is maintained regarding decisions affecting community assets<\/li>\n<li>The independence of the charitable trust is respected<\/li>\n<li>The focus remains on providing valuable services to Datchet residents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We hope that a resolution can be found that respects both the legal framework governing charitable trusts and the needs of our community.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Clerk to Datchet Parish Council continues to use the DPC web site to publish disinformation about the Trustees of the Datchet Recreation Ground Charity Trust, the Trust and the Charity Commission&#8230;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[172,170,209,352,350,351],"class_list":["post-3593","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-datchet-parish-council","tag-drcct","tag-drcct-hijack","tag-drcct-trustees","tag-ewan-larcombe","tag-monica-davies"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
