Back in May 2021, Andrew Findlay posted a detailed analysis of the Berry Hill timber footbridge structural problems on the Hitcham and Taplow Society web site.\u00a0 The article includes many detailed images and explanations.\u00a0 You can find the article here<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The centre section of the Berry Hill footbridge has now been replaced in metal at a total cost of about \u00a3450,000.\u00a0 The two end spans of Berry Hill footbridge are still the original timber construction and (in my opinion) liable to fail without warning.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Other nearby and problematic timber footbridges today include Temple, Ashford Lane, the Allotments and Black Potts – all are currently unusable.\u00a0 So who is accountable?<\/p>\n
