Datchet Parish Council has no lease to the Parish Office based at No 1 Allen Way, Datchet.

The Parish Council has had no lease since 2006 when they took over the building from the Library that had already moved out to Montagu House in the centre of Datchet. That situation was never corrected. To make matters worse – Datchet Parish Council pays no rent. There was a ‘Division of Responsibilities’ document (a ‘gentlemen’s agreement) that worked well, but somebody decided not to honour the agreement. Today Datchet Hall is not an available meeting venue because Datchet Parish Council have not paid their hall hire fees. Very briefly the facts are as follows:

 1. The DRCCT owns the land and buildings on the Sabatini Land.

 2. DPC are not DRCCT trustees

 3. DPC are using a DRCCT building without a lease and paying no rent.

 4. DPC is using parish money to claim ownership of the DRCCT assets.

 5. DPC refuses to consider the issues.

 6. DPC is barred from charity assets by LGA 1972 s139 (3)
