\n2.1. The River Thames Scheme team continues to work with partners on the development of the scheme and the ongoing review of its relationship with the Lower Thames Strategy. Work remains focused on ensuring a robust and deliverable long-term approach to managing flood risk in the Lower Thames area.
\n2.2. Engagement with key partners and stakeholders is continuing as this work progresses.\u00a0 The Committee will be provided with a further update once the current review work has concluded and there is greater certainty around the next phase of the programme.<\/p>\n

\n4.1. We had committed to providing an update on our recommendations in early 2026; however, there have been recent changes to government flood funding arrangements,
\nand we\u2019ve needed time to carefully consider these and what opportunities may be available.
\n4.2. We are continuing this work and intend to provide an update on the next steps for the project in the next few months.<\/p>\n
