\nDespite being an elected councilor and having first joined Datchet Parish Council some 40 years ago, Cllr Larcombe lost a vote of confidence in May 2025 following a substantial period of unacceptable conduct including bullying, aggression, defiance of council decisions, refusal to cooperate on DRCCT
\nmatters, and making unfounded public accusations against councilors.\u00a0 Despite being outed in public as a bully, Cllr Larcombe\u2019s conduct has only worsened over the past 18 months – he has targeted the clerk to the extent she has reported him to the police for harassment and we are now taking legal action to defend her.
\nCllr Larcombe has sent repeated defamatory and bullying emails about the clerk and DPC chair, which was why in July 2026 at an extraordinary DPC meeting, DPC agreed (on the recommendation of the staffing committee) to bar Cllr Larcombe from the office, block him from emailing the clerk, and allocating \u00a310,000 for legal representation for DPC.
\nCouncil has also approved at significant cost the upgrading of the CCTV system to include a door camera at the DPC office to ensure staff safety as Cllr Larcombe continues to attempt to enter the office and harass our staff.
\nDespite these measures, Cllr Larcombe continues to bombard us with aggressive emails about the clerk and DPC chair which have escalated even further over the past month. He has made and continues to make defamatory remarks in DPC emails and on websites he runs about the clerk and individual councilors. He has also most recently breached the confidentiality rules of the code of conduct and published confidential DPC documents on his websites. Longevity in itself does not bestow confidence of others. Although a councillor for 40 years, I contend
\nthat Cllr Larcombe is no longer fit to be a councillor. He does not act in the best interest of Datchet or its residents; he openly shares his disdain towards certain members of the community; and is hell bent on furthering his own warped sense of belief. His behaviour is bringing the council into serious disrepute as well as costing residents money, and his campaigns to get rid of the clerk and chair are malicious and dogged attacks that demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism and understanding of what is and is not acceptable in the workplace.

\nDECISION: A vote was put to all Cllr members and it was UNANIMOUSLY AGREED to co-opt Caroline Wise onto the Parish Council.
