Flooding coming again? Jubilee control gates in use?

Posted on November 25, 2024 by ecwlarcombe

Valencia and Malaga?  Cars heaped in car parks and floating down the river?  Just a thought!

It is not even 12 months since the last flood event here – but no watercourse maintenance and no new or improved flood defences locally means we are at serious and ever-increasing risk of flooding.  You may wish (or maybe not) to look at the following (River Thames at Datchet) river level chart

https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/station/7170

Try looking upstream to see what’s coming!

7164 is Taplow

7165 is Maidenhead

7170 is Datchet
