How much public money (that is – your money) does the Environment Agency actually spend every year on maintaining the designated main rivers that are their responsibility?
By that I mean maintaining and/or improving the conveyance capacity of existing channels . In this area (the River Thames at Windsor and on downstream to Teddington) I suspect that the answer is ‘tending towards zero’. If I am wrong please let me know.
