Eton Road Bridge Improvement?

Posted on August 4, 2025August 11, 2025 by ecwlarcombe

Please see following Member Question – to the Lead Member for Highways – for the next RBWM Council Meeting:

Eton Road Bridge – East end

Eton Road Bridge – West end

[Further information added 11-8-2025]  Below is an image of the Thames Water access on the verge that has been damaged by heavy vehicles.

MEMBER QUESTION:

The appearance of the road bridge over the Jubilee River between Eton and Datchet is hideous, and the misuse is shocking.

There is no view [of the Jubilee River – upstream or downstream] due to the excessive height of the red brick parapet walls, the deck has become a parking place for cars/coaches and the verges are destroyed.  Would you consider an improvement programme please?
