Another section of the Ashford Lane timber footbridge has collapsed into the Jubilee River. The south span collapsed last year and the central span has now failed. The north span is still in place but I suspect not for long!

Below is the view from the adjacent footpath

Ashford Lane footbridge is just one of a series of failed timber footbridges in the area.
Below – this is the Black Potts footbridge between Datchet and Eton on 9/7/2026. Essential Repairs?

Closed to pedestrians since June 2025 – how long before this ends up in the Jubilee River?

Some structural detail below:

A message to the Authorities: You have already had a year to dismantle this failed structure at Black Potts! I suspect that you have now run out of time.
