Below is the email I received from Cllr David Buckley (14/10/2026 – 10pm). In my opinion Cllr Buckley may have some difficulty producing the documentation supporting his assertion that Datchet Parish Council is the sole corporate trustee of the DRCCT. I can wait – while Datchet Parish Council continues to benefit from the use of DRCCT charity assets without lease, licence or payment of rent. This is conflict of interest that results in a benefit to Datchet Parish Council. There are also unresolved problems with the Datchet Football Club lease (expired) and the Datchet United Charities lease. My complaint is still with the External Auditor.
Ewan
I have been forwarded your email and I am replying as the chair of the Sole corporate trustee of the charity DRCCT, which for clarification, is Datchet Parish Council.
As you are aware, you are not recognised in anyway, as anything to do with the charity known as DRCCT since April 2025, this was reiterated by the Charity Commission in March 2026. So by you writing, to the council as a trustee of DRCCT is deeply concerning and untrue. You do not own the buildings personally, the charity does and you are not part of that organisation in anyway, shape or form. You need to refrain from using the organisations name in any communications you make publicly or privately, either would be untrue.
I will clarify that this action to change the locks was taken in conjunction with legal advice and notified to the Charity Commission, as further evidence to our serious incident report, that is sitting with the charity for a ruling. In respect of Datchet Parish Council, all decisions and actions have been taken as a collective of members and as you have a clear conflict of interest due to the legal case you have personally taken against the council, you were not included in these sensitive, defensive decisions and actions, as were any others with a clear conflict of interest. This continues to be the case while your legal action against the council continues.
You are fully aware that you are no longer anything to do with the charity known as the DRCCT and therefore we do not recognise you in the capacity you present in your email and we cannot reply to any request from an individual who is not recognised in any capacity within that organisation.
I appreciate you may not wish to engage with me on this issue, as you have failed to address this email to myself. (It had to be forwarded) You may see this as personal on my part, which it is not. I am carrying out decisions made by the sole corporate trustee, with legal council to manage the transition from April 2025, where you were removed from office.
As I am the chair of Datchet Parish Council, I am your point of contact on all correspondences for that authority. This was further agreed by the parish council, motion 26/92 on the 20th July 2026, approved by the council in that you cannot and should not communicate with the clerk, either directly or indirectly due to your aggressive behaviour. Again, you have failed to adhere to the council decision.
You continue to deny your removal as a trustee from the charity. I assure you I have an open mind on this matter, as it is not personal to me, but a matter for the local authority, of which I represent and any correspondences is taken in the capacity of Chair of Datchet Parish Council, please follow the motion approved at council.
In respect of the DRCCT matters, the new chair Mr Denny Loveridge is also available for contact in relation to all charity matters and you should make all correspondences with that separate organisation directly too the chair in the first instance.
Best regards
David Buckley

<cllr.syoung@datchetparishcouncil.gov.uk>Dear Clerk – You will be aware that Cllr David Buckley (accompanied by a locksmith) broke into the Datchet Hall last night. This is the second time. We DRCCT Trustees are now prevented from accessing the Hall by on-site security men – consequently I have a few questions for you please:
1) Who organised yet another raid on Datchet Hall?
2) When did you become aware of this action?
3) When was this action agreed by Datchet Parish Council?
4) Who is paying for the locksmith and the ongoing security costs?
5) When will the security men leave and allow normal operations?Thank you
