Demand for resignation – DPC Meeting Agenda 9-11-2026

Posted on November 6, 2026 by ecwlarcombe

The Agenda for the 9-11-2026 Datchet Parish Council Meeting is really interesting – not only for the included items (DRCCT, email account suspension, a demand for resignation and vote of ‘no confidence’) but more importantly for what has been excluded – which includes me being barred from the previous meeting and no appearance of my properly submitted Cllr David Buckley ‘no confidence’ motion.  The Agenda can be found here but for your convenience I have pasted the ‘Administration’ section of the Agenda below:

26/173 ADMINSTRATION
a) To appoint a lead member of grounds
b) To review the Division of Responsibilities document between Datchet Parish Council (DPC) and Datchet Recreation Centre Charitable Trust (DRCCT), as approved by DPC in 2019, and consider whether any updates, amendments or cancellations are required (paper).
c) To consider the reinstatement or continuation of the suspension of Cllr. E. Larcombe’s parish council email
access following the security/data breach on 28th October 2026 whereby confidential documents were downloaded from the councillor dropbox. There is a clear loss of confidence and trust and a clear conflict interest. The council needs to protect it’s legally sensitive and commercial property. (Cllr. D. Buckley)
d) To review and approve data protection policy (paper)
e) To consider and approve a secure Sharepoint system and choose one of two Microsoft 365 licensing options
(Cllr. B. Picot) paper
f) To approve a non-partisan public information campaign ahead of the parish council elections on May 6 2027 (Cllr. B. Picot) paper
g) To consider and approve a new Flag Policy (paper)
h) St George flag on Memorial Green Complaint – That the Council approves a response and authorises the Clerk to issue it on the Council’s behalf.
i) To demand the resignation of Cllr. M. Davies following the no-confidence vote on October 12th 2026 (Cllr. C.Wise)
j) To propose a vote of no-confidence in Cllr. E. Larcombe (Cllr. C. Wise)

DATCHET

The name "Datchet" is thought to be Celtic in origin, and the last part may be related to cet ("wood"). In the Domesday Book it is called "Daceta".lla. Datchet is first mentioned between 990 and 994, when King Ethelred made small grants of land here.

HORTON

The village name "Horton" is a common one in England. It is Old English in origin and derives from the two words horu 'dirt' and tūn 'settlement, farm, estate', presumably meaning 'farm on muddy soil'.In the Domesday Book of 1086 it was recorded as Hortune.

WRAYSBURY

The village name was traditionally spelt Wyrardisbury; it is Anglo Saxon in origin and means 'Wïgrǣd's fort'. Its name is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Wirecesberie and as Wiredesbur in 1195. The name is seen again as Wyrardesbury in 1422.
